This is my most favourite character actor in the role of Chief Inspector played by Mr. Michael Gambon
in the 1992 original great version - the remakes just don't compare. Scripts are based on the novel
by Belgian writer Monsieur Georges Simenon who sold 500 million copies of his works during his
lifetime. Bravo!
It is a British made series set in France starring a main character who is equally at home in London
or Paris as a true gentleman who does the nuances of both cultures best justice.
There's a dozen episodes, comprising the full Seasons One and two, the complete number of episodes
in this series starring Monsieur/Sir Michael Gambon, who alas died not too long ago.
