Synopsis:
Set in the picturesque countryside near Vilnius on the eve of World War II in the spring of 1939, the film follows Witek, a young man preparing for his final high school examinations. His destiny shifts when he falls deeply in love with Alina, the daughter of a wealthy retired military officer. Amidst the lush landscapes and the innocence of first love, the young couple and their peers navigate nascent passions, awakenings, and adolescent anxieties. However, their idealized youth is continuously shadowed by an unspoken, ominous collective premonition of the impending historical catastrophe that is about to dismantle their world.

Release Notes:
• Video: Encoded into next-generation AV1 using the libsvtav1 core under a 10-bit (Main 10) profile. Framed at its native European widescreen 5:3 aspect ratio (1794x1080) at a constant 25.000 FPS. Film Grain Synthesis (FGS) was specifically deployed to model and reconstruct the delicate, filmic grain layer of the original cinematography without wasting bit allocation.
• Audio: Retains the original Polish AC-3 (Dolby Digital) 2.0 Stereo track, complete with its native matrixed Dolby Surround encoding parameters running at 224 kb/s.
• Subtitles: Includes an embedded, timing-corrected English UTF-8 plain-text subtitle track, configured as Default and Forced for immediate cross-platform compatibility.
