Mastery in Mechanics gateway : Newton’s laws, FBDs, pulleys, springs, inclined planes, constraints & pseudo force
What you'll learn
Learn to apply Newton’s Laws of Motion to analyse forces, accelerations, and interactions in multi-body mechanical systems of all difficulty levels.
Construct accurate Free Body Diagrams (FBDs) for blocks, pulleys, wedges, springs, ladders and ropes to decode any complex problem systematically.
Understand normal reaction thoroughly, including variable normal, multiple contact points, wedge–block systems, and curved surface normal forces.
Master rope problems involving tension, massless/real ropes, variable tension, rope constraints, multi-pulley systems, and connected-body motion.
Solve all levels of constrained motion problems, including horizontal, vertical, inclined, wedge-based, and multi-surface mechanical constraints.
Analyse advanced spring problems, compute effective spring constants, and handle spring–block systems on rough, smooth, accelerating and rotating frames
Apply Newton’s Laws in non-inertial frame of reference and correctly introduce the pseudo force to solve accelerating lift, car, rotating frame problems.
Master inclined plane problems including frictional, frictionless, accelerating plane, block-on-block, and multiple-body interactions on inclines.
Solve inclined plane constrained motions, including moving wedge problems, block–wedge separation, horizontal push systems, and multi-constraint setups.
Tackle unique mechanics models like moving wedge problems, snake-ladder problems, rotor pulley problems, and stepped pulley problems with ease.
Requirements
This course is designed for learners of all levels. Even a Class 9 student with basic knowledge of algebra, simple equations, and elementary physics concepts (force, motion, velocity, acceleration) can understand and master the topics. No advanced mathematics is required—just curiosity and a willingness to learn. |
